The Experience

This is an 8 day, 7 night villa based journey through the heart of Umbria, thoughtfully designed to blend beauty, culture, and unforgettable hands on experiences. With time to relax and reconnect, this itinerary also invites discovery and creation, making it ideal for women who love full, enriching days and returning home with stories to tell.

Two of the absolute highlights of the week include a dinner at a one Michelin star restaurant and a hands on visit to one of Italy’s most iconic chocolate factories, where you will learn how to make the famous Baci Perugina chocolates yourself. These are not add ons, they are core moments of the journey.

Another unforgettable day takes us beyond Umbria into Tuscany, driving through the breathtaking Val d’Orcia, one of Italy’s most iconic landscapes and a UNESCO World Heritage area, on our way to the rolling hills near Montepulciano. Here we enjoy a truly special cooking class at a local agriturismo, a once in a lifetime experience that is immersive, joyful, and deeply Italian. It is a longer day with travel involved, but one that consistently becomes a favorite and is worth every minute.

Throughout the week, you will also explore towns like Assisi, Spello, Montefalco, and Perugia, enjoy shared meals, cook together, laugh together, and experience Italy in a way that feels authentic and human. Even with a more active rhythm, the villa remains a grounding presence, a place to return to, unwind, and connect at the end of each day.

This retreat is for women who want to live Italy fully, with depth, flavor, and moments that stay with them long after the journey ends.

Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival in Rome and private transfer to the villa

Private guided visit of Assisi including the Basilica of San Francesco

Stop in Spello on the way back, known for its flower lined stone alleys

Slow morning at the villa

Afternoon visit to Montefalco with free time to explore

Optional wine and olive oil tasting (EUR 35 includes tasting of 3-4 different wines, high quality, authentic olive oil and finger food).

Head to Perugia the chocolate center of Italy

Hands on chocolate experience at the Perugina chocolate factory where we learn how to make their own iconic Baci chocolates inside one of Italy’s most renowned chocolate factories. See chocolate school video

Stop in Deruta to explore its famous ceramic workshops

Relaxed day at the villa

Drive into Tuscany through the breathtaking Val d’Orcia, a UNESCO World Heritage landscape known for its rolling hills and iconic scenery

Return to the villa in the evening after a full and unforgettable day

Day 7

Luxury day spa experience at Borgo Brufa, day spa use include, optional services available.

Farewell dinner at a Michelin star restaurant with 2 taste menus to choose from.

Day 8

Departure day

Breakfast at the villa. Drive back to Rome with a stop at Lake Bracciano, a scenic volcanic lake just outside the city, famous for its crystal clear waters and the majestic Castello Orsini Odescalchi, one of the best preserved Renaissance castles in Italy. It is a perfect final stop before returning to Rome.

Castle entrance tickets are not included and cost approximately €8.50 to €10.00 EUR. On Saturdays, the standard ticket often includes an optional one hour guided visit at no extra charge, typically offered in the morning at 10:00, 11:00, or 12:00 and in the afternoon at 3:00, 4:00, or 5:00.

The tour will conclude in Rome at approximately 3:30 to 4:00 pm, with drop off either in the city or at FCO Airport. As most return flights depart the following morning, the final overnight stay in Rome is not included and is at the guest’s discretion.

Your hosts reserves the right to modify the itinerary if necessary for the safety and well-being of participants or due to unforeseen circumstances. Any changes will be communicated as soon as possible.

Meals not specifically listed as included. Most meals are already covered, with 6 breakfasts included and at 6 substantial meal provided on 6 days. Additional meals are light and casual, such as street food or pastries, including the transfer day stop at Lake Bracciano. Estimated total additional food cost for the week is about € 100 EUR per person.
Cost of Cooking class in Montepulciano €150 EUR including taxes and tips payable directly at the Agriturismo.
Bracciano Castle entrance tickets cost approximately €8.50 to €10.00 EUR.
Wine and alcoholic beverages. Wine and alcoholic beverages are not included unless specifically stated.
Optional farm visit with wine and olive oil tastings €35 EUR per person payable at the farm by credit card.
Gratuities for driver, maid and guide: €60 EUR per person for the week collected upon arrival.

Payments

Non refundable $ 1,000 USD deposit due to reserve your spot.

Remaining non refundable balance due 10 weeks prior to tour departure day.

Your hosts reserve the right to cancel the tour if necessary. In such cases, all payments made by participants will be refunded in full. No refund will be issued for participants who fail to join the tour, leave the tour early, or miss services included in the itinerary.

We recommend purchasing travel insurance, as it can protect you in case of unexpected events such as trip cancellation, interruption, medical needs, or travel delays.
