Choose this tour to visit the historic center, ancient buildings, narrow streets, the lively fish market at the Old Port and the Noailles Market, bursting with fresh fruits, vegetables and exotic spices from around the Mediterranean!

To start with, your private Chauffer/guide will drive you to the highest point in Marseille, to admire the magnificent 360° views from the esplanade surrounding Notre Dame de la Garde Basilica. Private tour includes Chauffer for 9 hours. This excursion takes you to Lucca, a wonderful example of roman, medieval and renaissance architecture. Then to the lovely Miracle Square in Pisa, where you can admire "The Leaning Tower".

Proposed Itinerary (may be reversed or rearranged as needed):

• Pick up in the morning from the port. Your day tour begins with a one hour drive to Lucca.

• Lucca is a tidy gem of a town encased within its famous walls with lots of charm and narrow medieval streets. The city has some wonderful examples of roman, medieval and renaissance architecture, amazing churches, including the Duomo di San Martino which contains the “Volto Santo” (Holy Face), a wooden figure of Christ which is considered to be a true likeness of the face of Christ. Others sights of interest are San Frediano, San Michele Church , Piazza dell'Anfiteatro, Guinigi Tower, Napoleone Square.

• Lucca's historical centre is attractive also in shops and elegant boutiques, take a walk on Via Fillungo and enjoy a stop in one of the local cafes and traditional restaurants.

• Then we will head for Pisa, your driver will bring you in Piazza dei Miracoli which ranks as one of the world's loveliest squares. You can now admire "La Torre Pendente" the Leaning Tower, Pisa's majestic Romanesque cathedral and the unusual round Baptistry.

Typical fist time in Rome Itinerary:

NOTE that the itinerary can be customized and coordinated directly with the driver according to your specific needs and/or preferences.

• Pick up at cruise ship’s pier (driver will have a sign with your name)

• Depart pier and drive to Rome for about 1.5 hours

• Reach and visit Vatican Area (this may be done at the end depending on Vatican daily activities).

  • • • St. Peter's Basilica - free to enter, will need to pass security check which is likely to have a long line. (required time 1.5 hours but this can change depending on the line at the entrance).

• Drive to Circus Maximus for a spectacular view of Palatine Hill.

• Reach and visit the Colosseum and Roman Forum (allocate about 1h to visit, no interior visit).

  • The Forum and Colosseum can be visited from the outside. For interior visits, skip the lines entrance tickets are absolutely necessary.

• Drive to Piazza di Spagna and visit the area, continue to Fontana di Trevi and visit the area (make sure to drop a coin!) then continue for a visit to the Pantheon and Piazza Navona. 

• Return to pier in Civitavecchia, taking about 1.5 hours
