Castelmola is a small town just above Taormina up on the mountain. Dinner on the terrazza at Caffe' Turrisi (amazing view). Buy and/or drink Almond wine while there.
Taormina is 1/2 way up a mountain, one other way to reach it is by cable car. In Taormina see the Greek theater

Drive to Palermo - 3.5hrs
Options: stay in Taormina in the morning or stop to visit Etna - keep in mind that by car you can only reach the 2 inactive Silvestri Craters. To reach the top you would need to take a 4x4 tour. On your way to or from Etna you could stop at one of the many wineries on the mountain. Donna Fugata for example is one of them.

Visita solo Ortigia, e' un quartiere dentro Siracusa, e' divertente girarlo in bicicletta, ma anche a piedi va bene, non e' grande

Consideration for overnighting: Taormina is 1/2 way up a mountain, one other way to reach it is by cable car. One day at least you will have to take the car to go up the mountain to visit Castelmola. But if you want to stay in a less stressful area and visit Taormina the other nights you can also stay by the coast and reach Taormina by funivia.
