20th November - Budapest to Vienna Day Trip
You will be taking the train, and there are several options available for both the outbound and return journeys:
Train options: You can choose between express trains and high-speed trains.
Travel time: The journey typically takes around 2 to 2.5 hours, depending on the type of train you select.
Train ticket prices: Prices range from approximately $57.00 to $70.00 per person, varying based on the train type and schedule.
Regarding the Vienna day-trip, we are happy to recommend RegioJet trains from Budapest to Vienna. You may choose either Business Class or Relaxed Class tickets. OEBB also operates Railjet trains between Budapest and Vienna, providing an excellent connection between the two cities.
From Hotel Vision, it is slightly more convenient to depart from Budapest-Kelenföld station, where both RegioJet and OEBB trains stop en route to Vienna.
If you choose RegioJet, we recommend leaving the hotel as early as 7:15 AM in order to catch the 7:58 AM train. On the way back, there is a RegioJet train at 5:58 PM. With OEBB, the earliest train departs at 7:55 AM, also from Budapest-Kelenföld, so the timing is very similar. For the return, a RailJet train leaves at 5:40 PM, arriving back in Budapest-Kelenföld at 8:00 PM.
