The customer, along with two other couples, is seeking assistance for a tour of Rome and Florence following their Viking cruise, which ends in Rome on November 16. They would like a guided tour of both cities from Sunday afternoon through Wednesday, including accommodations with no steps in both Rome and Florence. The itinerary they have in mind is: arriving in Rome on Sunday, staying there until Monday night, then taking a train to Florence for Tuesday and Tuesday night. They would like to see major attractions in both cities and have recommendations for meals. The customer also needs transport arrangements, either by private driver or train, and help with the details of their three-day tour. They would like to discuss further by phone on Wednesday afternoon.

We will pass the Roman Forum, cultural, artistic and religious center of ancient Rome.
We will continue guiding you through the Venice Square, where you can admire the Vittoriano or Altare della Patria ("the wedding cake") built and designed by Giuseppe Sacconi in 1885 and the famous balcony where Benito Mussolini spoke to the people and declared the Italian entry into World War II against France and Great Britain.

NOTE: this is a possible itinerary which can be changed to suit your preferences.
Here is a list of hotels in the range of E200-250 per night per room, all featuring elevators for access to the upper floors (few steps at the entrance are often unavoidable in Rome). These hotels are in great central locations and have very good reviews. I didn’t include Airbnbs because they frequently don’t specify whether they have elevators. Additionally, since Airbnb properties are typically in residential buildings, many of these buildings in Rome have extremely small elevators, if they have one at all, which is why I would not consider them a safe bet.
Trastevere Royal Suite - Viale di Trastevere 75, (best location for restaurants options)
Best Western Hotel Royal Santina, Via Marsala, 22, (has king beds, less central)
Boutique Hotel Galatea, Via Genova 24, (has double or twin beds)
Hotel Raffaello - Sure Hotel Collection by Best Western, Via Urbana 3 (has kind beds)
Pantheon Inn - Via Santa Caterina Da Siena 57, (has king or twin beds, most central of all)
Albergo Ottocento - Via Dei Cappuccini 19, (has double or Twin beds, elegant, very central)
Monti 66 Hotel - 66 Via Nazionale, Rione Monti, (simple, less expensive)
Here are some great restaurants in central area for typical Roman food of good quality: Sottosopra Trastevere, Tonnarello Scala, Otello, Tonnarello, La Tavernetta 29. Rome has traditional Trattoria style restaurants that are an experience in real Roman flair. They are often located in the Trastevere area.

Tips from your guide Virginia on how to spend the rest of the day
Take a comfortable high-speed train from Florence SMN, departing at 6:14 pm and arriving at Rome Termini at 7:49 PM. This is also available at 5:48 PM and arriving at Rome Termini at 7:25 PM. There are earlier trains but the time needs to be decided in advance as the train ride has reserved seats.
Going straight to Florence from Civitavecchia is doable but it is not the simplest thing.
Going by train requires you to be transferred to Rome as Civitavecchia does not have any direct train to Florence. Furthermore changing trains in Rome will cause you to have to take a very long walk inside the Rome train station from where the Civitavecchia train stops and where the train to Florence departs. A better way would be to hire a driver that would pick you up at your ship and take you to Roma Termini train station. There you would board a train to Florence which takes 1.5 hours.
Steps: 1) Driver at ship takes you to Rome Train station, 2) Take the train, 3) arrive in Florence and take a taxi outside the train station that would take you to your hotel.
Cost option 1: EUR 500 total for 6 people
Option 2: Another way is to hire a driver to pick you up at your ship and take you all the way to your hotel in Florence. This is doable and much more expensive. Also the drive take much longer than the. Travel time 3.5 to 4h
Cost option 2: EUR 750 total for 6 people
EUR 360 total price for 6 people
