The prices shown are for a minimum number of people as indicated at each tour. Should there be less people travelling, the prices will need to be recalculated.  All quotes are subjected to availability and are considered final as soon as the tour is reserved.

DAY 1 

Private Transfer from Pisa to Lucca. A professional driver will pick you up at the airport and take you directly to your centrally located apartment.

FLIGHT INFO: October 17th, 12:06 P.M. on British Airways Flight # BA 604.

Lodging in Lucca (see pictures at the bottom of this page) I have selected for you a very large perfectly located apartment in the hart of Lucca. With 9.4 review score, this apartment has 3 bedrooms (2 with queen beds, + 1 more room that you will not use), 2 bathrooms, washer, kitchen, wifi, and a rare to find elevator (everything else centrally located did not have an elevator). Free WIFI is available while at the appartment.

Private 3h tour of the downtown area with your guide Virginia. 

Lucca is flat and very nice. After you have rested at your apartment Virginia will come to your place and take you for a pleasant stroll of this very charming town. We will also book a covered 5 seats bikes see picture here. for 1 hour. With that you will have a fun and relaxing stroll of the top of the city walls. At the end of the tour Virginia can take you to a nice restaurant (if you wish) that is right on the walls top and overlooks the historical center.

DAY 2 

Full Day Trip from Lucca to Le Cinque Terre. (Note) upon further review and detailed price calculations I have removed the option using a guide (Virginia) and public transportation (train and ferry). However if you wish to consider it keep in mind that the cost is very similar to the private car and driver tour (€13 less per person). 

Option 1) Private tour by van and professional English speaking driver. 

This itinerary will reduce the walking required. Your English speaking driver (Simona or Diego) will pick you up right at your apartment and return you there at the end of the day. Simona or Diego will take you to 3 relatively flat locations (Porto Venere little walking, Corniglia little walking, Vernazza inclined longer walk). You will not need to take the train nor the Ferry. The driver will walk with you if she/he can find space at a nearby parking area (this depends on how busy the towns are going to be on that day). In any case you will be taken as close as possible to the points of interest.

Option 2) Group tour by bus & English speaking tour leader.

The tour starts and ends at a central location in Lucca. The bus will take you to the first town, the rest of the tour will be done moving by either train or ferry with a tour leader (the ferry is still running in October, but it does not run when the weather is bad). Transportation cost between towns is included as well as a sampling of local products, optionally you can choose to add lunch for €13 more per person. Please see here for a full description.

DAY 3

Full Day Trip from Lucca to Siena and San Gimignano

Option 1) Private tour by van and professional English speaking driver. This itinerary will reduce the walking required. Simona or Diego (the same person that came the day before) will pick you up at your apartment and return you there at the end of the day. Your tour will take you to 2 beautiful locations: San Gimignano (see pictures) and Siena. You will be taken as close as possible to each points of interest. In Siena the driver will be able to enter the historical area. In San Gmigniano the driver will go as far as the walled entrance to this medieval town. Once passed the entrance there will be an uphill road. The road is lined with shops and places where you can stop and rest. The top of the town is beautiful and relatively flat. Siena is relatively flat. The fantastic Duomo has several steps. Both locations have fabulous restaurants perfect for a real Tuscan lunch.

Option 2) Group tour by bus & English speaking tour leader.

The tour starts and ends at a central location in Lucca. There will be a longer walk from the bus stop to each location of interest. The tour includes: Tour leader for the whole day, Professional Tour guide in Siena for a guided walking tour of the historical center, air conditioned Bus transport, independent visit of S.Gimignano, tasting of local sweets and Chianti wine "Vernaccia". DAY 4

Full Day Private Transfer/Tour from Lucca to Civitavecchia + tour of Orvieto + stop at Civita di Bagnoregio. 

Driving time is approximately 2.5h to Orvieto, 20 min to Civita di Bagnoregio and 1.5h to Civitavecchia.

Check out from apartment in Lucca. Our driver Giuliano will drive you to Orvieto (see pictures). The town is very beautiful and flat. The driver can drive inside the historical center and minimize your walking. On the way to Civitavecchia you will have a picture stop to see Civita di Bagnoregio from a perfect location for a most enchanting view (see pictures).

This town would be great to visit but the only way to get to it is walking along a path that is really long and uphill. Arrive in Civitavecchia and check in at your bed and breakfast.

CIVITA di BAGNOREGIO

Lodging in Civitavecchia: I selected the Alibrandi Palace (see pictures at the bottom of this page). It is a luxury B&B located in an aristocratic palace. It has a 9.1 review score.  I have already booked their last 2 rooms with single beds in each room see sample picture. The rooms are at the first floor, you will have to go up the stairs but the luggage will be carried by the welcome attendant. 

Several of the hotels in Civitavecchia are already booked for that date, especially those located walking distance from anything like restaurants. This is the most convenient location for the restaurant we will be meeting at either the night of the 20th or on the 21st for lunch. 

All of the hotels that are walking distance to good restaurants are booked. If you see something else you like let me know. In the mean time I reserved the Alibrandi's last 2 rooms to be on the safe side.  

DAY 5

Transfer from hotel to your ship. 

The Alibrandi  have luggage storage facility, so if you decide to have the pizza making party for lunch, you would check out and leave the luggage in their storage, we would walk to the restaurant and later the driver would pick up the luggage and then pick you up at the restaurant. Otherwise the driver will pick you up and take you to your ship.
